Dr. Erin Castle graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, after obtaining a B.S. in wildlife biology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 1999. She practiced small animal medicine in New York and San Diego before moving to Portland in 2011. She worked as an associate at Hillsdale Veterinary Group before purchasing Portland Animal Clinic in 2015. Her interests are internal medicine, surgery and dentistry. She shares her home with her boyfriend, 2 cats, and 1 dog. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking and reading.
Alex came to Portland Animal Clinic from another hospital with Dr. Castle when she purchased PAC in January 2015. He has been working as a veterinary technician since 2006, and is now also taking classes to pursue a career in human medicine. Alex lives with his girlfriend, Chelsea, their three brachycephalic (smoosh-faced) cats, and his German Shepherd mix, Charlie. His hobbies include riding (and fixing) European motorcycles, gaming, target shooting, and sometimes struggling to learn a new musical instrument.
Kelly started at Portland Animal Clinic in October 2014. She joined the team enthusiastically to pursue her dream of working in animal medicine. Kelly was born in Connecticut and spent most of her childhood show jumping horses in New England. She moved to Portland in 2011 from Florida where she volunteered as a puppy raiser for Southeastern Guide Dogs during college. She lives with her bouncy black lab, Chaplin in Sellwood. In her free time, Kelly enjoys cycling, backpacking, writing science fiction, and taking her dog swimming.
Lynhaar joined the Portland Animal Clinic team in July 2015. She is a native from the Island of Puerto Rico. She knew early in her life that she had a passion to take care of animals. She finds fulfillment in being the voice for the voiceless. To start her dreams, she graduated with an Associate degree in Animal Science at the University of Puerto Rico. She also did an apprenticeship to learn the art of Pet Grooming. She spent a decade in Colorado, working as a veterinary assistant and pet groomer. Three years ago she moved with her family to Portland to start yet a new chapter in her life, loving the diversity of people, the weather and beautiful scenery. She and her loved ones share their home with her furry family which includes dogs, cats, chinchillas and rats. In her spare time she enjoys hiking with her dogs, reading and searching for that perfect cup of “Joe”.

Mystery takes care of the property at night and visits with the boarders. She stays pretty busy at night so she might be still sleeping when you get here.
